Cricut's Shopping Extravagenza

It all started when we were taking my daughter to physical therapy and we drove past our local scrapbook store, Everything Scrapbook and Stamps. Cricut demanded that we stop in to see what new and wonderful things, the owner, Michelle had been bragging about on her blog.

We were not paying attention to Cricut as Michelle showed me all the new cool products that had arrived in the store. I still hadn't heard a peep out of Cricut while Michelle and I discussed the upcoming Murder Mystery Crop. Then suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spot Cricut at the register. Oh No, this could be bad! Apparently Cricut had been busy piling things in her shopping bag when we weren't looking. She even had my debit card and ESS reward card. I think we might have to enroll her in Shopaholics Anonymous. So now I know I can't take my eyes off Cricut while in her favorite scrapbook store.

If you find yourself in South Florida and you love all things paper crafting, you must stop in and see Michelle and her fabulous staff. Tell them "The Cricut Babies" sent you. For more store info go to www.everythingscrapbook.com

Jana, Clara and I will be celebrating my 40 birthday at the upcoming Murder Mystery Crop to be held at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps. Yes the Cricut Babies will be attending!

Halloween Fun

Here in Florida we almost got rained out for Halloween. This was also the first year my teenage daughter did not get dressed up or go trick or treating. So what's a 40 something mom to do but dress up a cute green plush animal known as Cricut. We decided on her sequin pumpkin costume but I'm not sure how she ended up wearing nerd glasses.

Look at ALL that yummy candy!

Just to prove I'm not only obsessed about Cricut. I am just as obsessed about my horses. So Pops and I carved this replica of my beloved pony Captain Jack complete with wings, because he is my angel (on most days).

Since we are talking about all things cute and candy I wanted to show you something Jana made recently. Jana is such a talented paper artist and an even more thoughtful friend. She made all of us these test tube candy holders for the last crop we attended (Scrapper's Dream Vacation). Jana, in case I haven't told you lately I LOVE mine!!!

The pattern for the test tube holder is from Lisa Summerville www.lisasomerville.com

Our Cricut has made some Amazing New Friends

I recently attended The Scrapbook Expo here in West Palm Beach. The show was smaller than last year but I enjoyed talking to all the vendors. Rhonda and Lisa from Scrap Depot in Sunrise www.scrapbookingdepot.blogspot.com . They had some great page kits and Lisa was so patient with my daughter teaching her how to use Perfect Pearls.
Of course we love Connie Nail and family of Tickle Me Pink deigns www.ticklemepinkdesigns.com. Here is picture of Connie teaching Cricut how to Play with cool yellow paint on one of her beautiful page kits that we purchased.

Last, but not least, no seriously, in the last both I might how found what could be my long lost twin, Shantaie Fowler. We hit it off instantly talking about all kinds of craft goodness while she helped my daughter make a super cute candy tube

Then out of the corner of my eye I spot the cutest thing I have ever seen a crystal cricut pendant. "Oh," I say, "I see you like Cricut stuff too." Come to find out she is a Cricut In Circle Design Team Member and she even has a cricut phone case. So I tell her about our cricut babies and I promise to bring them by the very next day. She was so busy doing make n takes that sadly we did not get a picture together so she has allowed me to post some pictures of her and her Cricut baby.
I'm loving the hottest design to hit the runways, Cricut Tshirts!
Shantaie here on the right with her cute Gone Buggy sign.

You can find Shantaie Fowler at her fabulous blog www.inkingpink.com.  She has so many great tutorials, stories and inspiration galore. I love knowing that there are other gals that love these cute little bugs.

The story of Cricut

Jana and I became closer friends while trying to keep our scrapbook group alive so we took turns going to crop with Clara in Virginia. We also had many sleepovers at my house when Clara headed back to Florida for visits. During one of Clara's absences Jana and I were left to fiend for ourselves with our Gypsey and Cricut. Trust me this was about to be disaster until we discovered online cricut tutorials by The Pink Stamper www.mypinkstamper.com. During one of my visits to her blog I noticed a small green plush cricut bug. I was smitten and went promptly to www.cricut.com to buy one for myself. During a trip to the Ft Meyers this summer to a crop hosted by Kim Hodges of Scraptique www.scrapbooksnstickers.com I decided to bring my cricut baby along. My 11 yr old daughter Emma and I decided she must have the appropriate attire for the trip so we outfitted her in Build a Bear outfits.

Well Jana has said it was definitely love at first site and she knew immediately that she had to Adopt her very own Cricut child. Both of us are definitely kids at heart and our new Cricut children have given us so much joy and love, although our daughters (we each have two, ages 11-25, think we are nuts).  We now take them everywhere we go that is scrapbook related and they have enjoyed much notoriety on my facebook as well.  We have been stopped by everyone who sees them and they all want to know how and where to buy them.  We definitely think we are giving Cricut wonderful advertisement for these adorable babies.

Scrappers Dream Vacation Orlando 2011

ROAD TRIP

In September we made our annual trek to Orlando for SDV. Jana came up on Wednesday night so we could put the finishing touches on the cricuts scrapbook girl outfits. Thursday morning we loaded up the SUV and the cricut babies had their on special carseat for two.
Our first stop was at Hobby Lobby in Melborne and then to Scrappy Boutique. I have to say not only is this a great store in a great location the staff were so nice. We ran into the "tallahassee girls" at the store too.
Despite the rain we went to Emeril's in City Place for dinner and found some cute outfits for the cricuts. Finally we were able to check in and set up. This year we decided to take the time to decorate our tables. We had hot pink table runners and handmade centerpieces by Jana. Of course the Cricut babies were front and center. We were nicknamed the" pink ladies" because of all of our pink decorations. Everyone loved stopping by to meet the cricuts and admire their wardrobes. We had such a great time scrapping with our Tallahassee girls that next year we have decided to all sit together as the Pink Divas.

 Seanna's turn for a picture
Look Ma, we made it to Hobby Lobby
I am not sure we are going to have enough room for all the stuff we bought at Hobby Lobby

What more could you ask for Best Friends and Shopping
L-R Clara, Seanna, Jana, Sam, Gail and Bonnie at our Secret Pal exchange
Our Tallahassee Friends are great babysitters as long as they don't drink to much "water" wink wink
This was where the Cricut Babies hung out and greeted their adoring fans during the crop
I am counting the days until next year!!!!!

Under construction

Please be patient as Jana and I get our blog started. I have several posts and a ton of pictures to share. We would love for you to leave comments, words of encouragement, or to follow us.
